Amanda was honoured to launch Sean O’Connor’s collection Fragmentation on Sunday 14th November at 6pm, and open Strands – the exhibition of Donald Teskey’s paintings at Claremorris Gallery on Saturday 20th November.
In November, Amanda was featured on the delightful Books for Breakfast podcast with Peter Sirr and Enda Wyley.
On Sunday 31 October Amanda was part of a round table discussion on nature writing, poetry and haiku, organised by Gilles Fabre, editor of Seashores. Other participants include David J. Kelly, Jane Robinson, and Mark Roper. Details here.

Thursday 22 November – the launch of The Loneliness of the Sasquatch in The Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square, Dublin 1 at 6.30. Poetry and music: a reading interwoven with airs on the low whistle from Tristan Rosenstock.
Monday 19th November – I was one of the poets reading at the annual fund-raiser ‘Soundings for Simon’, The Yellow House, Rathfarnham, at 8pm.
Wednesday 10 October – I read ‘The New Road’ at the Redline Book Festival, at the launch of the Red Lines, an anthology of the first five years of the Redline Poetry Competition.

On 31 May I was delighted to be part of the Wild Voices Writers’ Salon curated by the wonderful Annemarie Ní Churreáin. Nine poets and a harpist responding to the words of John Moriarty. It was great treat to read with Karen J. McDonnell, Victoria Kennefick, Alice Kinsella, Faye Boland, James Martyn Joyce, Nicholas McLachlan, Stephen Murphy and Liz Quirke, and harpist Eithne Walsh.
18 May – Playing with Poetry. A delightful neighbourhood evening of poetry and music with me, Catherine Ann Cullen, Erin Fornoff, and musicians Sam Brown and Pearse McGloughlin as part of Harold’s Cross Festival in the Education Centre Theatre in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.
10 May – ‘Blank Page: Poets in Conversation’ with Niall MacMonagle and John O’Donnell in the National Library

I was honoured to be reading my poem ‘Moving Statues’ with a wonderful group of writers and singers including Eleanor Hooker, Anne Tannam, Annette Skade, Sinead Gleeson, Claire Hennessy, Catherine Ann Cullen, and Deirdre Sullivan. Profits from the sale of this book will go to support those working to ensure that all women have access to the full range of reproductive healthcare, including safe, legal abortion.
